The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, has presented a comprehensive overview of infrastructural projects ongoing in the health sector across the country.
At a press conference on Wednesday, the Minister indicated that four major projects have been completed and commissioned including 10 and five polyclinics in the Central and Greater Accra Regions respectively.
According to him, the upgrade and rehabilitation of two regional hospitals; Greater Accra and Northern Region have also been accomplished.
He also mentioned that 15 new Community Health and Planning Services (CHPS) Compounds have been constructed nationwide and await snagging and commissioning.
The health facilities, he said are excluded from government’s ambitious project, Agenda 111.
Speaking about ongoing projects, the Dormaa Central MP noted that 12 hospitals in the Eastern, Ashanti, Ahafo and Greater Accra Regions are still in the pipeline.
Mr Agyeman-Manu, however, noted that government commitment to completing all of them.
