Ghana Premier League side, Aduana Football Club, has appointed former Black Stars forward, Felix Aboagye as their new head coach until the end of the 2021/22 season, Joy Sports can confirm.
The two-time league winners have been without a permanent gaffer since the departure of Joseph Asare Bediako earlier this year over a mutual agreement.
In his absence, former assistant coach, Ben 'Zola' has been in the dugouts as the interim coach for the 'Ogya' lads, steering them to some good results in the Ghanaian topflight.
However, Aboagye is set to assume Bediako's role from now till the end of the 2021/22 season as a result of Zola being short of the licensing requirement to continue the interim role, as Aduana chase Asante Kotoko for the league title.
The former Ghana striker joins Aduana from rivals Great Olympics where he had been working as an assistant since the start of the ongoing 2021/22 season.
The 46-year-old will be hoping to win at least a silverware for the club at the end of the season. Aduana are 10 points behind Kotoko in the race for the league title while the club also finds itself in the last 16 of the MTN FA Cup.
Aboagye will be assisted by Zola during his short stint with the Dormaa-based outfit.
