Otumfuo Nsumankwaahene Baffour Asabere Ababio Kogyawoasu III and Wankyi Nkyeraahene Nana Baffour Addo Kwabo II led the new Taa Toa Traditional Priest Nana Opoku Agyemang to pay a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III at the Manhyia Palace on Thursday.

Before the visit, there was a possession of chiefs, Traditional Priests and Priestess and people from Wankyi Nkyeraa Traditional Area in the Bono region from the Nsumankwaahene's Palace through the streets of Krofuom to Manhyia with wild jubilation and the dancing of Apuro ensemble.

Upon reaching the Manhyia Palace, Nsumankwaahene introduced the new Taa Toa Komfo to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Immediately after the introduction, the spiritually possessed Traditional Priest sat on the laps of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and also did the same when he visited Asantehemaa at her court while the people sang and dance the Apuro ensemble which belongs to Asantehene.

According to tradition, the only Traditional Priest who can sit on the laps of both Asantehene and Asantehemaa is the Taa Toa Komfuor.

The Taa Toa Atano Abossom plays a role as a protector of the Asante Kingdom and Taa Toa is also known for prophesying to the Late Asantehemaa Nana Afua Kobi Serwaa Ampem II that her youngest son will become the Asantehene when she became pregnant to current Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II who is known in private life as Nana Kwaku Duah
