Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) has announced a dividend of ¢0.0420 per preference share for all preference shareholders.
All preference shareholders registered in the books of Standard Chartered Bank at the close of business on Wednesday May 27, 2022, will qualify for the dividend.
A circular from the Ghana Stock Exchange pointed out that the ex-dividend date has been set as Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
Consequently, an investor purchasing SCB preference shares before this date will be entitled to the dividend.
However, an investor buying SCB preference shares on or after Wednesday, Wednesday, May 25, 2022 will not be entitled to the dividend.
The dividend of GH¢0.0420 per preference share is expected to be paid on Friday, July 1, 2022.
Stanchart registered a profit of ¢436.9 million in 2021, a decline from ¢478.2 million recorded in 2020.
