American-based Ghanaian businessman George Graham has called on music industry players to appreciate other genres of music and music talents.
According to the former musician, the Ghanaian music scene does not really support other genres and music talents.
In an interview, he stated that Industry players are not as open-minded as they are in other countries, with an open-minded audience interested in classical music and other genres rather than just Afrobeats.
He said, because of that, most artistes who do other genres are losing their relevance and their creativity, which is also making the industry stagnant for new talents to be discovered and listened to.
Mr Graham also besieged that the industry should give other genres a chance and push them like other popular music genres and music talents, and also refrain from listening to songs without prejudice.
EZ Street’s corporate is a label seeking to gear up to be the world leader in music-based entertainment.
With it offices based in Ghana and USA, the records label is looking forward to signing up more Ghanaian music talents willing to take their global.
Touching on why he wants to invest in music, Mr Graham said despite holding a Master’s degree he is a music enthusiast who wants to have an impact in the industry as well.
