Newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side, Samartex FC, is set to appoint Annor Walker as the head coach of the team ahead of their maiden season in the top flight, Joy Sports can confirm.
The Samreboi-based club secured qualification to the Premier League after winning Zone Two of the 2021/22 Division One League season.
Since Thursday, the club has been teasing fans with an imminent announcement of their incoming gaffer.
Former Hearts of Oak coach, Henry Wellington led the club to the top flight but will not stay on as the gaffer as Walker is expected to be confirmed as the club's new head coach.
Walker took charge of Accra-based, Great Olympics, in February 2020 prior to the start of the 2020/21 league season and guided them to a sixth-place finish that season.
He bettered that record with the Dade Boys during the just-ended season as the club finished fifth, 19 points behind league winners, Asante Kotoko.
With the imminent appointment of the Black Galaxies' head coach, Samartex will look to finish above the relegation zone in the debut Premier League season.
