The National Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah says the party will soon take action against a journalist with TV3, Roland Walker, for alleged unprofessional conduct.
According to him, the presenter appears to be championing the cause of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in his work, a situation he says the NPP is observing.
Expressing his reservations in a tweet on Wednesday, Mr Ahiagbbah says the NPP is monitoring this development and will act soon.
"TV3 Newday….there is something very unprofessional going on with Roland. He appears to make the platform an NDC platform. We are observing this degeneration closely and will act soon", the tweet said.
While noting his sentiments, the NPP Communications Director however failed to state the specific cause of action.
Meanhwhile, Roland Walker, has responded to the comments from the NPP spokesperson, describing Ahiagbah's comment as 'daft'.
According to him, the remarks by Mr Ahiagbah are the daftest he has seen from a Communications Director of the NPP.
What looked like a banter between the two has been greeted with divided opinions from a section of tweeter users.
While some have backed Mr Ahiagbah's tweet, others have criticised him for always crying foul and insisting on having his way in his engagement with journalists.
His critics say his sentiments are due to Mr Walker's robust stance on national issues; a posture they say displeases Mr Ahiagbah's partisan interest.
