The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta addressed the nation on the Debt Exchange Programme and the implication for the economy.
He touched on the revised debt exchange programme.
This engagement came on the eve of the date for the expiration of the programme, which falls on February 7.
Meanwhile, some pensioners picketed at the Finance Ministry to demand a complete exemption from the programme.
But addressing them, Mr Ofori-Atta appealed to the Individual Pension Bondholders to accept the current 15% coupon rate offered by the government.
