Musician Kuami Eugene has said that any woman considering a relationship with him will need to toughen up for the experiences she may have to go through.
Speaking on Lynx TV’s ‘Stripped’ the musician said that as an artiste, he understands that his partner may be loved. But among other things, she will face criticism and hatred from haters as well as fans who may be unhappy that he is taken.
Kuami Eugene told the host, Sika Osei that “everyone (in a relationship) wants to have one person to themselves, but if you wanna have me to yourself, it’s going to take some sacrifices because people won’t just allow you to.”
“They won’t allow you the freedom to have Kuami for yourself. You’ll get a lot of hatred, people are going to hurt you, and they will come at you,” he said.
The 'Angela' hitmaker added that, some people would spread false rumours about him just so his partners would dump him.
Kuami Eugene said that this could breed misunderstanding. Especially, when he is seen with different women as part of his job.
“You expect me to flaunt you and I don't, then it hurts you sometimes, I hang around with this person or that and it hurts you so much, I do not want to put anyone through that. Right now, I know dating me will be very difficult. You should have tough skin to date me,” he said.
Kuami Eugene said that he has chosen to stay single because he does not want to put anyone through that stress.
