The National Sports Authority (NSA) has appointed Rita Odei as the acting Head of its Public Relations Unit, replacing Charles Amofa, who has picked a new role at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
A letter sighted by Luv Sports, signed by Director General of NSA, Prof Peter Twumasi, says the decision to appoint a new PRO of NSA follows the appointment of Mr. Charles Amofa as the Spokesperson of Ministry of Youth and Sports.
“Your new position entails higher responsibility, professionalism, dedication and demonstrable competence. It is also hoped that, this appointment will spur you to work harder to increase productivity and efficiency at the Unit to justify the trust and confidence reposed in you by the management.,’" portions of the letter confirming the appointment of Ms Rita Odei read.
Speaking to Luv Sports after her appointment, Ms. Rita Odei, who has been with NSA for 13 years, expressed delight with her new role.
She is confident of bringing on board her expertise to project the positive image of NSA.
"NSA has been my home for the past 13 years. I am happy to have risen through the ranks and gotten to this position today through God's Grace and hard work.
"I look forward to the task ahead and I hope to bring onboard the expertise I have acquired throughout the years to continue to project the positive image of the institution,” she said.
The NSA's release congratulated Mr Amofa on his new appointment at the ministry and wished him well.
