Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton, has charged the team to take their chances whenever they are presented with one following the team's scrappy win against Angola on Thursday, March 23.
Ghana earned a narrow win over Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations matchday three qualifiers, needing a late goal from substitute, Antoine Semenyo.
The Bournemouth forward scored in the 96th minute of the game to send Ghana three points clear of Group E and keep the Black Stars' unbeaten run in the qualifying series intact.
However, Hughton was unhappy with the team's efficiency in front of goal.
"We’ve had 11 chances so that’s the first positive. If you were telling me that we played 96 minutes and we only had two or three chances then that’s worrying but the fact that we have had chances you always know…come the next game or next game after, you’re going to put some of the chances away," he said after the game.
"The only thing we learned is that we need to be a little more clinical when we have the opportunities."
The Black Stars will turn their attention to the reverse fixture in Luanda on Monday, March 27.
