Yamboni Foundation, a non-profit organisation, has climaxed its Ramadan feeding project in Kumasi on Monday by serving Iftar to 300 fasting Muslims.
This was done to alleviate the hardships of impoverished Muslims fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. Over time, the NGO has committed to giving back to the community, especially the underprivileged members of society.

Nimatu Abdulai Yamboni, Executive Director, emphasised that Muslims had to eat immediately after fasting for several hours, and the foundation would assist poor Muslims in eating healthily.
She explained that the foundation established the effort to make indigent Muslims feel remembered during Ramadan.

"On a normal day, many of them struggle to eat daily, and having to fast with that, it's a great challenge, and we choose to mitigate that and give them what would make them feel they're part of us," Nimatu explained.

She further indicated that the project would make significant progress in the future years in order to ensure that no Muslim is left behind during the Holy Month.

"Today it is Kumasi; if God wills, we plan to replicate this in other towns, communities, and villages in the coming years. We strongly believe that everyone should be able to eat healthily while fasting for Allah," Nimatu continued.

Nimatu noted that it is critical that well-meaning members of society spend the month of Ramadan doing good for others in order to maximize the rewards.
The foundation has helped over 2,000 women through entrepreneurship, health care, and paying orphanage fees, among other things.
