Ghanaian Afro-Dancehall musician, Fantana, has explained that she is not promoting body enhancement even though she is not against them.
Her explanation comes after she allegedly told Zionfelix in an interview that she takes pride in her body enhancements.
She clarified her supposed comment in an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz.
“I don’t remember saying that, you know surgery is a really strong topic, and I don’t want to be here to give young girls the impression that they have to go and have surgery. Everyone should make their decision for themselves.“
The ‘No Dulling’ hitmaker added: “There are young girls who look up to me, who haven’t done any body enhancement, and I don’t want to sit here talking about that and be promoting it, because they will start to think they have to have one because I said it.”
Fantana also noted that she is not against body enhancement and that anybody can have surgery to enhance their body. She, however advised that it must not be done out of peer pressure.
“I will say surgery is not a bad a thing, but I feel if you want to do it, do it for yourself, and not out of peer pressure."
Fantana has been featured in the Netflix series Young, Famous, and African.
