The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is organising a two-day workshop for selected members with support from the Ghana Skills Development Fund (GSDF).
As part of the GSDF support, MUSIGA will open a technical support centre at its head office in Accra.
The workshops on 'Leveraging Digital Tools to Generate Revenue' will train members on how to navigate the digital music space.
In all, thirty-two (32) members will be trained in uploading, marketing, and monitoring the monetisation of their works online. The workshops will also expose participants to the world of A.I.
Ace geek, Kobby 'Spikey' Nkrumah is the resource person for the workshops which will be held in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale with the one in Accra taking place on June 22 and 23, 2023.

Acting President of the Union, Bessa Simons is optimistic that the programme will be helpful to the members.
“I expect this capacity building programme to equip our members to improve their revenues the music business. I also expect the participants to return to their regions to assist their colleagues in understanding the new music business," he said.
Participants for the Accra workshop were selected from the Volta, Central, Western and Greater Accra Regions.
