This year’s Ghana Chicken Festival which was held at the forecourt of the State House in Accra witnessed an exciting participation of top politicians who joined in the cooking contest organized alongside the event.
They include Kwabena Agyepong, New Patriotic Party presidential aspirant, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, MP for Klottey Korle, and Nana Yaa Akyempim Jantuah, General Secretary of the Convention People's Party (CPP).
At the end cooking contest, Mr Kwabena Agyepong emerged winner.
Organised by the Agrihouse Foundation, the event witnessed participation of 200 agri-base companies who displayed a wide range of agricultural products that attracted hundreds of patrons.
Ghana Chicken Festival is an annual event which is celebrated on every 1st July to showcase poultry products in order to create an extensive awareness on consumption of locally produced poultry products.
Abla Gomashie, MP for Ketu South and the Gospel songstress Piesie Esther, were the lead judges for the cooking contest.
CEO of Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa led the the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mr Yaw Frimpong to inspect the poultry products on display.
