The Black Queens of Ghana will begin their quest for a spot at next year's Olympic Games when they face Guinea in Conakry on Friday, June 14.
Ghana will face Guinea in their first-round qualifier with the first leg taking place away from home before playing as the host in the return fixture.
Nora Hauptle's side left Accra for Conakry on Tuesday after holding their final training session and have stepped up their preparations while in the Guinean capital.
The head coach of the side has guided the team to two victories in international friendlies since taking over from Mercy Tagoe with the tea,m also yet to concede a goal.
Against Guinea, they play their first competitive game and Nora and vice-captain Janet Egyir have been speaking ahead of the game.
On her side, the Swiss coach said the team is aware of the requirement needed to ensure a win in the first meeting.
"We have different tasks given to the players. Everybody has a role, positioning and game plan that they need to stick on. I demand my players mostly to work with cohesion, support each other and fight for each other” she said.
"These are the tasks and they know what to do for a sure win tomorrow."
Janet, who recently moved outside Ghana after a long spell with Hasaacas Ladies also shared in the words of her gaffer and believes the game is one they would have to achieve the desired results.
"[Today'] game is a mission we want to accomplish. It is going to be one step close to our mission. The target is to find our way back to the top” she told the media.
"We will do all that we can to build that and also to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris."
With Ghanaians being disappointed in the attempts by the Black Meteors to secure a slot in Paris, the Black Queens are the only hope in the football category.
The Black Queens have not played at the Olympic Games since its introduction.
The game is scheduled for a 16:00 GMT kickoff.
