The Black Queens are through to the next round of qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games following their 7-0 aggregate win over Guinea.
Ghana, having beaten their West African counterparts 3-0 in Conakry, scored four unanswered goals at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, July 18.
An Evelyn Badu brace and others from Princella Adubea and Firdaus Yakubu saw Ghana secure a 4-0 win in the second leg of their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier.
Nora Hauptle’s side scored three goals in the second half after Evelyn had broken the deadlock in the opening half.
Badu opened the scoring in the 36th minute of the game, lofting the ball over the on-rushing Guinea goalkeeper put Ghana.
After a few chances missed in the first half, there was no stopping Princella Adubea this time as she scored seven minutes into the second period of the game.
Badu grabbed her second of the evening with a calm effort from a rebound minutes later before Friday Yakubu put the game to bed.
The Hasaacas Ladies midfielder tapped into an open net after brilliant work by Evelyn Badu down the right flank.
The 4-0 win on Tuesday means Ghana advanced to the next round of the qualifiers with a 7-0 aggregate score.
With Benin also seeing off competition from Guinea Bissau, they will be the Black Queens' next opposition in the next round of qualifiers,
However, Ghana will now turn its attention to the qualifiers for the next edition of the women's Africa Cup of Nations, where they face Rwanda in September.
