Kumasi Technical University rose to victory in episode 11 of Big Chef Tertiary after outshining the other three teams and emerging as the star school of the day.
As the finals of Joy Prime’s culinary extravaganza approaches, all 12 contestants are keeping up on their toes.
Creativity reached its peak as all four remaining teams were tasked with recreating a dish from Fante kenkey, corn, and fish in a mystery basket.

The seasoned judges, Chef Samuel Anaman and Chef Tracy Domeyo Owiredu-Ababio, tasked the contestants to prepare unique recipes with ingredients hidden in their mystery basket. This episode’s mystery basket contained Fante kenkey, corn, and fish.
Chef Samuel Anaman disclosed that the reason for choosing these three ingredients was to push the contestants out of their comfort zones and explore their creativity and teamwork skills in the kitchen.
"We are going to see how creative the contestants are going to be with the selected ingredients they have in the mystery baskets. We have given them three ingredients. The ingredients are Fante kenkey, corn, and fish. They are supposed to work with these ingredients and come up with a unique recipe," he said.

Each team was given a chance to shop for more ingredients from the market to help them successfully complete the task within the 60 minutes allocated to them.
After 60 minutes of the kitchen heat, the judges finally lowered the curtains. All the contestants had to present their meals for evaluation and judges verdict.

Although the judges were impressed with each team’s delicious meal, they both agreed that Kumasi Technical University’s meal appealed to them most.
At the end of the episode, representatives of Kumasi Technical University happily embraced each other as they won the star school of the day title for the first time.
Chef Sam and Chef Tracy also applauded the other contestants for a job well done and advised them to push themselves harder to come back with their 'A' games next week as one school will be eliminated from the competition, thereby leaving three teams for the finale.

Big Chef Tertiary is still on, and airs every Sunday at 5:00p.m. on your ultimate experience channel, Joy Prime.
The programme this season is proudly sponsored by Fortune Rice, Frytol Sunflower Oil, Indomie, Sintex Tank, U-fresh Drinks, Niche Cocoa Drinks, and Access Bank.
