With “El regresso”- to wit - the return as their watchword, Pope John Minor Seminary/SHS is returning to winning ways after qualifying for the semi-finals for the second time in over 20 years.
The 2023 Eastern Regional champions beat their brothers from St. James Seminary and Aburi Presby SHS to make their historic return.
In an exciting contest that saw POJOSS firm up their resolve with each round, they managed to secure 48 points, a five-point margin ahead of the closest contenders, St. James Seminary.

The school which has its motto as “Vela Damus” is hoping to sail through the semi-finals and make their second grand-final appearance.
The last time the school appeared in the semi-finals was in 2001 when they first lifted the NSMQ trophy.
They have only managed to secure quarterfinal slots in the past years.

It was all joy in the yellow and blue camp after contestants of the school broke their 22-year jinx.
Meanwhile, Opoku Ware School escaped a narrow defeat from their city rivals, Osei Tutu SHS to book a slot at the semi-final stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz.

In an intense royal warfare for academic supremacy, the Santasi boys beat the Abrempong’s of Osei Tutu by a two-point margin to secure 45 points, while St. John’s School sat aloof to enjoy the showdown.
With their mantra #Trinity, the Akatakyies of Opoku Ware School are anticipating their third trophy to end their 21-year trophy drought.
