Black Queens head coach, Nora Hauptle, said their 3-0 win over Benin in the second round of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers was very intense for the players and coaching staff.
The Swiss added that her side faced challenges because Benin are very good opponents with a compact block.
Nora believes her team had very good control of the game because of their approach at the Friendship Stadium in Cotonou on Friday afternoon.
“We have won this game 3-0. It was very intense for the players and also for us the staff. It was expected from a strong opponent,” she said.
“They caused us some challenges because they are a very good defending team and compact in the block.
“We operated very focused with very good control of the game; a very good mixture between playing constructive and also releasing some long balls.”
Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring for the Black Queens in the 45th minute from the penalty spot before Grace Assifuah bagged a five-minute brace to wrap up the scoring.
