The Ghana Journalists Association, the umbrella body of the inky fraternity, has in collaboration with its development partner, United State of America Embassy in Ghana, launched a project to train journalists on how to report accurately to promote peace in next year’s general elections.
The project dubbed Journalists For Peaceful Discourse was under the Theme; Promoting Peaceful Journalistic Media Platforms Ahead of Elections 2024. It was launched at the Accra International Press Centre.
The launch was witnessed by representatives from Ghana's two major political parties, the New Patriotic Party, and the National Democratic Congress, as well as the National Peace Council.
GJA Executives led by the President Albert Dwumfuor and guests unveiled the project.
The US Embassy was represented by the Press Attache, Kevin J. Brosnahan
