Both Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak failed to pick up wins on matchday 10 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League as their early season struggles took another turn.
Playing away from home to Samartex, the Porcupine Warriors fell to a brilliant free kick from former player Emmanuel Keyekeh as the Timber Giants took all three points.
Kotoko have now suffered five defeats in their opening 10 games of the 2023/24 season.
In Accra, Hearts were also held to a goalless draw by Legon Cities at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The result means the Rainbow Club have now recorded three consecutive draws in their last three games in Ghana's top flight since their last win.
10-man Bofoakwa Tano settled for a 1-1 draw against Bechem United at the Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday while a Stephen Amankona first half strike saw Berekum Chelsea defeat Medeama away from home.
Aduana Football Club will host Bibiani Gold Stars on Monday.
