Scancom PLC (MTN Ghana) has defended its recent adjustment in voice and data prices across its range of products and services for both pre-paid and post-paid customers, which took effect on Tuesday, November 28.
Despite facing considerable discontent from subscribers, the company, as a Significant Market Power (SMP) firm, emphasised that the price hike was essential to ensure the sustainability of its business operations.
MTN Ghana acknowledged the prevailing economic challenges facing Ghanaians but asserted that the revision of its product prices was unavoidable.
The company urged customers to appreciate the circumstances and bear with the decision during these challenging times.
The statement concluded by assuring customers that it remains committed to delivering the highest quality of service.
