Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton has named a 55-man provisional squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The list was published by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Wednesday, December 20, with 24 days away from the start of the competition.
The provisional list has 11 Ghana Premier League players in it with Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC boasting the most.
Medeama has 5 players in the squad while Great Olympics and Dreams FC have two players each the others being from Asante Kotoko and Nations FC.
Thomas Partey, who is recovering from injury, has been included in the list with a place also for Tariq Lamptey and Kamaldeen Sulemana, both also nursing injuries.
Yaw Yeboah, who won the 2023 MLS Cup with Columbus Crew, gets a first call-up under Hughton while Brandon Thomas-Asante also gets a first call-up.
