Outgoing Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has been appointed as the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) manifesto committee for election 2024.
This was made known in a statement released on Wednesday, February 21.
The statement, signed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the spokesperson for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's 2024 campaign team, also designated Housing Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah as the deputy chairman of the committee.
The role of secretary for the committee will be filled by Evron Hughes.
"The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has constituted a manifesto committee for the 2024 general elections. The committee will be chaired by Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and sector ministers will serve as advisors to the committee."
The Committee's mandate includes conducting a thorough assessment of the party's 2016 and 2020 manifestos, engaging with critical stakeholders, and crafting a practical manifesto for 2024.
Additionally, the Manifesto Committee is tasked with executing its duties with utmost efficiency and professionalism to develop a comprehensive manifesto that adequately addresses the legitimate concerns and socioeconomic challenges facing Ghanaians, ensuring its enduring relevance over time.
