Asante Kotoko suffered their fifth Ghana Premier League defeat on the road on Saturday in their game against Karela United.
The Porcupine Warriors were handed a 1-0 defeat away to their rivals as their rollercoaster form after the break continued.
Solomon Aboagye almost put the home team in the lead after just 13 minutes but his effort from close range just went wide of the post.
Karela goalkeeper Ganiu Mohammed Abdul was forced into good saves before the game headed into the break.
Kotoko found themselves punished as Gayisu Ibrahim scored from a setpiece to send Karela into the lead.
The defeat leaves Kotoko with just one win in their last three league games, failing to close the gap between themselves and top-placed Samartex.
