Daniel Otting Awuah has been elected President of the Ghana School of Law Students Representative Council (SRC). He obtained 647 (41.72%) votes out of a total of 1551 votes to beat off competition from two others - Fattah Mahama and Ephraim Tetteh - to win the coveted slot.
Mr. Awuah run a campaign themed “driven by vision, backed by experience” as he assured students of his ability to address various challenges. His message strongly found favour with students across all campuses as he secured the most votes at all 4 centres of the Ghana School of Law.
Mr. Awuah in his victory speech committed to keeping the student front united while urging his supporters to celebrate the electoral success in moderation.
“It is my humble plea to everyone in jubilation to do so with maximum moderation, after all, we are and will always be one family.

"I thank each and everyone who voted, not leaving our friends who could not cast their votes for whatever reason. To our internal and external EC, well done, and kudos to our able men in uniform who ensured security. Collectively, we say thank you to all stakeholders, and ultimately to Almighty God for how far He has brought us,” he stated.
He also took time to commend his two colleagues who contested for the slot alongside him;
“I want to congratulate my good friends, Fatah and Ephraim for a campaign fought so hard. These are two perfect gentlemen who mean so well for our student body, and I look forward to working with both.”
