Ghanaian musician Thomas Adjei Wireko, widely known as King Paluta has cautioned social media users not to tag him on Sarkodie's 'BRAG' rap beef trend.
According to him, his focus is now on singing and not rapping.
Speaking with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, King Paluta clarified that his colleague musician Sarkodie, is a rapper, hence the trend will benefit him.
"Everyone is rapping now but no one should tag me to participate in Sarkodie's 'BRAG' rap beef. I am singing for now. Sarkodie is a rapper so his rap should give him the attention he needs", he said on Hitz FM.
He further added that individuals pushing him to join rap contests are the same people who would later leave rap for singing.
"All those tagging me for rap will be the same people to stop listening to rap for singing. "For now, I want to give them the singing because singing is working", he added.
He spoke about his new release 'Aseda' which is topping on charts.
"We are not in the era of rap but that of 'Aseda' is topping charts in all places. "It is now the King Paluta season and everyone is aware", he said.
He also mentioned that singing has opened doors for him outside the country.
"Singing sponsored my journey to Germany. When I get to the Kokota International Airport, I get quizzed on my frequent pass-through. It is the singing and not my rap", he stated.
