Some National Democratic Congress (NDC) members in the Sehwi Wiawso Constituency of the Western North Region have allegedly been attacked by persons believed to be New Patriotic Party (NPP) thugs.
According to reports, some victims were attacked on the main street of Sefwi Boako in the constituency, while others were assaulted in their homes.

Speaking to Adom News, some of the victims said the thugs were led by a known NPP member in the community. The party member is alleged to have directed the thugs to the victims' locations to carry out the attacks.
They claimed that the attackers vandalised items in their rooms, including television sets and other belongings.
Additionally, some victims said they were attacked with cutlasses and pump-action guns.

Sources indicate that one of the NDC members had spoken against the President of the Sehwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Katakyire Kwasi Bumagamah, who is the father of the NPP parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Wiawso.
The incident has been reported to the police for further investigations and to possibly apprehend the suspects.
