Black Queens Goalkeeper, Cynthia Konlan, has expressed belief that the Black Princesses can make history at the 2024 U20 Women’s World Cup in Columbia by advancing from the group stage.
The Al Hilal player featured at the tournament with team two years ago but they failed to make it out of the group, which is the sixth consecutive time.
But Konlan is optimistic the team can achieve success in August in Colombia.
“I believe in them and I know they can do it. We've all watched the WAFU Zone B they played and the 2023 African Games, they did their best and they gave everything,” she told the media on Saturday.
“I know when they put more effort at what they gave to Ghanaians, I know they can go far and I believe in them.”
The Black Princesses are in Group E alongside Austria, Japan and New Zealand.
Ghana qualified for its seventh successive U20 World Cup and will be one of four countries to represent the African continent.
Cynthia Konlan has travelled with the Black Queens to Japan for their international friendly this coming Saturday.
