A Legislative Instrument laid before Parliament in June this year sought to amend portions of the Road Traffic Regulations 2012 to allow Members of Parliament, Ministers, and judges to use sirens and drive without speed limits.
But after massive public outcry, the L.I. was withdrawn on Tuesday, July 16.
Nonetheless, the conversations on the matter have continued in both new media and traditional media circles.
