Spokesperson for the John Mahama campaign team, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, needs to explain to Ghanaians why some promises he made have not been fulfilled.
According to her, Dr Bawumia made numerous promises in his quest for power without delivering them.
Speaking on JoyNews’ AM Show on July 22, he said, “The promises he made over the years, how has he fared? On corruption, on state capture, on poverty, on the economy. Look at the wastage. Look at this PDS issue.”
“Look at the matter to do with the National Cathedral, 339 million. Can you imagine? Imagine that we even divided that 339 million and gave it to the poor, gave it to these women who don’t have any jobs.”
In addition, Mrs Mogtari stated that one of the biggest threats in the country is the high rate of unemployment.

She stated that even after 10 years of school, some youths have not been able to secure decent jobs.
“Yet we have government officials feeding fat on the tax payers' money. These are the things we should ask Bawumia,” she said.
