Dr Gideon Boako, spokesperson for Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to elect the Vice President as the country’s next president in the upcoming 2024 elections.
According to him, Dr Bawumia’s experience, vision, and leadership qualities make him the right candidate to address Ghana's current challenges and steer the nation towards a brighter future.
In an interview with Peace FM on Monday, October 7, Dr Boako highlighted Bawumia's track record in government, particularly his leadership in economic reforms and digital transformation initiatives that have enhanced public service delivery.
He pointed to the successful implementation of mobile money interoperability, digital addressing systems, and the paperless port system as key examples of Bawumia’s ability to bring about meaningful change.
Dr Boako also emphasised that Bawumia’s deep understanding of the economy and his commitment to development make him the ideal leader to tackle issues such as unemployment, infrastructure deficits, and healthcare improvements.
He further stated that the Vice President’s consistency in policy proposals shows that he has a clear and actionable plan for the country’s future.
Dr Boako called on Ghanaians to support Bawumia in his quest to become the next president, stressing that this is the opportune time for his leadership.
He expressed confidence that under Bawumia's presidency, Ghana would witness significant progress, adding that Bawumia’s leadership style and innovative solutions will propel the country into a new era of development and prosperity.
"If you look at his energy, ideas, and age, this is the right time for a country like Ghana to elect Dr Bawumia as president. He’s always been focused on his task and not corrupt or anything else. For the impact he has achieved as Vice President, there’s no doubt he will be a fantastic president for the country," he said.
