A 23-year-old Argentinian man tragically lost his life at the hands of his jealous girlfriend who attacked him with a knife for simply greeting another woman on the street.
A little jealousy can actually be good for a relationship, but too much of it can be fatal! Take the tragic story of Mariano Grinspun, a 23-year-old man from González Catán, a city in Argentina’s Buenos Aires province, who was stabbed to death by his jealous girlfriend after greeting a former schoolmate on the street.
The shocking incident occurred in the early hours of October 21st, near the corner of Balboa and La Bastilla streets, in González Catán.
Grinspun and his girlfriend, Natacha Palavecino, were walking hand in hand when they ran into a woman who greeted Mariano and asked him how he was doing. The woman’s simple greeting was enough to drive the man’s girlfriend crazy, as she pulled out a hidden knife and attacked her.
It turns out that the woman who greeted Mariano Grinspun on that fateful morning was an old schoolmate of his, but that hardly mattered to his girlfriend. She just saw another woman who had the nerve to speak to her man and decided that she needed to pay with her life.
Palavecino reached for a hidden knife and slashed the woman, identified only as LC by Argentinian media, across the armpit.
The victim fell to the ground and managed to stop another stab attempt with her hand. She would have probably been killed if not for an unidentified man who managed to pull Palavecino off of her.
Unfortunately, Mariano Grinspun was not so lucky. After failing to kill the woman who had sparked her rage, Natacha Palavecino took it out on her boyfriend, stabbing him in the chest.
The couple argued for several minutes after, as shown by surveillance cameras in the area, during which time the victim collapsed to the ground several times.
At one point, he fails to get up and his 32-year-old girlfriend attacks him with her bare hands. Eyewitnesses called emergency services, but they could do nothing to save the man’s life.

An ongoing investigation has already revealed Natacha Palavecino’s violent history.
In 2021, she was convicted to one year in prison for stabbing a former boyfriend in the chest, and even Mariano himself had reported her to the police for threats and causing him physical injuries.
In July of last year, a restraining order was issued, forcing Natacha to avoid all contact with the victim. However, once the measure expired, he decided to give their relationship another chance.
32-year-old Palavecino risks spending many years in prison for the murder of her boyfriend and the attempted murder of the woman who simply greeted him on the street.
