Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has affirmed that his campaign will remain focused despite what he describes as “insults” from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dr. Bawumia emphasised that his goal is to win the December elections based on the NPP’s record and achievements in government.
On Saturday, November 2, Dr. Bawumia toured the Tano North constituency, where he was joined by his longtime aide and spokesperson, Dr. Gideon Boako.
Together, they met with voters in Duayaw Nkwanta to discuss the NPP’s vision and rally support.
The visit to Tano North marked the conclusion of Dr. Bawumia's two-day tour of the Ahafo Region, during which he engaged with various communities and highlighted the NPP’s commitment to development in the area.
In Dormaa, the hometown of Dr. Boako, who is running as the NPP parliamentary candidate to succeed Freda Prempeh, Dr. Bawumia expressed optimism about the party’s prospects.
He praised Dr. Boako's dedication and familiarity with local concerns, stressing the importance of effective representation in Parliament.
Dr. Bawumia reiterated his confidence in the NPP’s chances in the December 7 elections, citing the party’s achievements and his determination to lead a focused campaign.
He called on supporters to remain steadfast and look toward the upcoming polls with confidence.
“The NDC sensing that they’re losing the election have resorted to insults, they have been insulting us. I believe you have heard some of the insults. We will not pay attention to them, we are confident of winning the elections. We will win the elections because of our good work."
“We’re focused on embarking on developmental projects for all communities, we have developed the country. I know your concern is the road, the road from Tepa to Duayaw Nkwanta is bad. I want you to commit all the roads in my hands, I will fix the roads when I become President. I will also construct a district hospital at Dormaa.”
