Deloitte Ghana will hold a training on Navigating Customs and Excise Duty Obligations for practitioners within the business environment.
The training programme is designed to empower participants with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to thoroughly understand customs and excise procedures.
The meeting which will take place on Thursday November 7, 2024, will also help participants proactively identify potential non-compliance risks.
Cross-border trade is undergoing increasing trade complexity, ever-changing tariff and duty structures as well as heightened regulatory scrutiny.
To this end, Training Coordinator, Selasi Ahadzie, says these trends necessitate strict adherence to regulations by businesses.
The training will cover areas such as the overview of the customs and excise duty compliance process in Ghana, principles underpinning the calculation of customs and excise duties, customers clearance and declaration process, global trade optimisation strategies, available incentives and exemption, preparing for and managing post-clearance audits and mitigating risks in customs and excise duty compliance in Ghana.
