Bauta Logistics, a leading FMCG distribution company and accredited distributor of the ‘Lucky Star’ food brand in Ghana, has donated to Mfantsipim School to celebrate the achievements of the school's National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) team.
In a congratulatory gesture, a joint delegation from Bauta Logistics and Lucky Star presented Lucky Star products valued at GHC20,000 to the school, along with a cash donation of GHC 10,000 specifically for the victorious NSMQ team.

While presenting the items to the school, the Country Manager of Lucky Star Brands at Bauta Logistics, Margaret Naadu Darko, said the donation reflects Bauta Logistics' commitment to supporting education and youth achievements in Ghana.
She highlighted the importance of the Lucky Star product range, which she noted is essential for brain development.

“We are happy to be part of the winning team. We congratulate these young boys for their victory in the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz. As a company that distributes food products that are essential for brain development, Lucky Star pilchards, we are excited to present these items to the students,” Darko stated.
The Executive of International Sales at Lucky Star, Sharlene Brink, underscored the importance of their partnership with Bauta Logistics.

She emphasized that the initiative reflects their dedication to fostering educational opportunities and supporting local communities, encouraging future generations to excel academically and beyond.
“These are the future generation, and it feels great to be donating to these kids. We are passionate about education, and this gesture will encourage academic excellence,” Brink said.
Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Headmaster of Mfantsipim School, Rev. Ebenezer Aidoo, thanked Bauta Logistics and Lucky Star for their timely and generous gesture.

Mfantsipim School claimed victory in the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after a nail-biting finish, securing the title with 47 points.
The win marked their first since 2014, ending a decade-long wait.
St. Augustine’s College, also from Cape Coast, closely followed as first runners-up with 46 points, while Keta SHTS took third place with 33 points.
In recognition of their achievement, Mfantsipim received gold medals and a cash prize of GHS 70,000.
St. Augustine’s College was awarded silver medals and GHS 50,000, and Keta SHTS received bronze medals along with GHS 35,000.
The 2024 edition of the NSMQ saw a record participation of 157 schools, showcasing the growing interest in science and mathematics across the nation.
The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) is an annual competition for Senior High Schools in Ghana, aimed at promoting the study of science and mathematics.
Produced by Primetime Limited since 1993, the quiz fosters healthy academic rivalry while encouraging students to develop quick thinking and a scientific mindset about the world around them.
Among the top winners of the competition, Presbyterian Boys' Senior High School (Presec Legon) holds the record with eight victories, followed by Prempeh College with five trophies and St. Peter's Boys' Senior High School with three.
