Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has described the party’s recent engagement with the security services as productive.
He shared this update in a post on social media on Friday, November 22, following a meeting with the security agencies.
The meeting, which took place on Thursday, November 21, was held at the headquarters of the Ghana Police Service.
It brought together representatives from all political parties in the country, with the goal of discussing security measures for the upcoming December 2024 elections.
Dr Omane Boamah expressed satisfaction with the collaborative discussions.

In his post, Dr Omane Boamah underscored the importance of continued dialogue between political parties and the security services to ensure a peaceful and secure electoral process.
He reiterated the NDC’s commitment to contributing positively to the maintenance of law and order during the elections.
"Very productive engagement with the security services yesterday at the Command Centre of the Ghana Police Service headquarters."
"And refreshing to note from the Electoral Commission of Ghana that counting of Presidential ballots must precede counting of parliamentary ballots in all polling stations after the close of polls."
