Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), has urged actor Kofi Manu to refrain from actions that could cause public disaffection for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a Facebook post on Friday, November 22, Nkansah addressed a video circulating widely on social media in which Kwaku Manu, dressed in NPP colours with a "DPP" inscription, encouraging Ghanaians to vote for that party, hinting that failure to do so might lead to election manipulation.
This display has not sat well with the NEIP CEO, who has requested that the actor stop "misbehaving" while wearing NPP attire.
Nkansah emphasised the right of individuals to support any political party of their choice, but insisted that actions which could tarnish the NPP's image should be avoided.
"Those who know Kwaku Manu should tell him to stop misbehaving with NPP colours."
"He has every right to support any party of his choice but we won't take such mischief from him."
