The SkyPlus Hotel in Ho became a centre of reflection and inspiration as the Togbega Noagbesenu III Foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Memorial Lecture in honour of the late Togbega Noagbesenu III, Fiaga of the Awate Traditional Area.
The event brought together a distinguished assembly of traditional leaders, government officials, and community stakeholders, reaffirming the importance of traditional leadership in fostering peace, governance, and development in Ghana.
Distinguished Presence Highlights Significance
The gathering was graced by notable figures, including Justice Jones Dotse, Retired Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana; representatives from the Volta Regional Minister’s office; the Volta Region House of Chiefs; and the Volta Regional Police Commander.
Paramount chiefs, queens, and dignitaries from various traditional councils across the region underscored the weight of the occasion. Also present were government officials, national representatives, and patrons of the Foundation, including Eric Seddy Kutortse, CEO of 1st Sky Group of Companies.
In her welcome address, the Executive Director of the Togbega Noagbesenu III Foundation, Elizabeth Ephraim, emphasized the significance of the gathering.
“Today, we gather here to remember and celebrate the life and legacy of a great traditional leader who was not only a beacon of hope and inspiration to his people but also a symbol of wisdom, integrity, and good governance.”

The late Togbega Noagbesenu III, known for his unwavering commitment to his community, was remembered as a visionary leader who set a high standard for traditional governance. “Togbega Noagbesenu III dedicated his life to serving his community with honour and dignity. His leadership qualities continue to inspire us to this day,” Ephraim remarked, calling on attendees to carry forward his legacy.
