The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed plans to wrap up its nationwide campaign with a grand rally on 5th December, 2024. The event, titled the *Possibilities Victory Rally*, will be held at the UG Sports Directorate Park in Accra, near the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
In an official statement issued on 30th November, 2024, the party’s National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, invited members, supporters, and the wider public to join what he described as “a landmark occasion, broadcast live across all major media platforms.”
He noted that the rally would be a significant moment to consolidate the party’s momentum ahead of the 7 December general elections.

The rally is expected to feature prominent figures of the NPP, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the party’s flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, running mate Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, National Chairman Stephen Ayesu Ntim, and General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong.
The leadership will seek to energise supporters while highlighting the NPP’s vision for Ghana’s future.
Interestingly, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has scheduled its final campaign rally for the same day, 5 December.
This coincidence sets the stage for an intense conclusion to the election campaign as the two main political parties vie for public attention and support.
The NPP is expected to use the occasion to showcase its achievements under President Akufo-Addo’s administration while championing Dr Bawumia’s vision for continuity and growth.
The rally will also serve as a platform to rebut criticisms from the opposition and bolster confidence in their campaign promises.
On the other hand, the NDC, led by former President John Dramani Mahama, will likely focus on critiquing the ruling party’s record and presenting its own strategies for governance.
The simultaneous rallies are anticipated to capture the nation’s attention, underscoring the high stakes of the upcoming elections.
