In a significant show of support, Yakubu Adams, popularly known as Yakubu Tony Aidoo, a former Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asawase Constituency, has donated over 30,000 cartons of assorted drinks, mineral water, and biscuits to 28 constituencies in the Ashanti Region.
The gesture is aimed at assisting NDC polling station agents during the December 7 general elections. Tony Aidoo, a devoted member of the NDC and a scrap dealer, stated that the donation reflects his commitment to the party’s success in the 2024 elections.
Speaking to the media, he explained that the initiative seeks to motivate polling station agents and grassroots supporters to remain steadfast in their duties before, during, and after the elections.

He noted that many agents often face hunger while protecting the party's ballots on election day, emphasizing that the supplies would help boost their morale and productivity.
Tony Aidoo also appealed to other party members, particularly former appointees, to contribute to the party’s efforts during this critical period. He urged them to leverage the resources and networks they gained while in government to help the NDC regain power in the December elections.
The Asawase NDC Chairman, Faisal Dauda, expressed appreciation on behalf of the beneficiary constituencies, commending Tony Aidoo for his generosity.

He described the gesture as timely and significant, particularly in fostering unity and support within the party.
Mr. Dauda further urged the NDC leadership to recognize and empower the youth who demonstrate dedication and actively contribute to the party’s progress. Empowering such individuals, he added, would inspire others to emulate their efforts.
Despite not holding any political appointment, Yakubu Adams has consistently provided substantial support to the party. His dedication was lauded as an example for others to follow, highlighting the importance of grassroots contributions in achieving the party’s objectives.
