Ghanaian music star Kofi Kinaata has shared his thoughts on the unfortunate incident involving Fameye and a DJ during a live performance in London.
The incident, which saw the DJ mistakenly play the wrong track leading to Fameye's outburst on stage, has sparked discussions on how musicians should handle such occurrences.
In a recent interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Kinaata remarked that "sometimes, it's painful [to encounter such challenges on stage] because for some people, it's their first time watching you perform."
He further noted that the audience might not notice the technical errors; they might think it is the artiste that failed to deliver to expectation.
"DJs and bandsmen fail us everyday," he intimated, recounting his personal experience with live performances outside the country in the absence of his personal DJ.
That notwithstanding, the 'Things Fall Apart' hit maker said he has a different approach to solving such issues.
"I prefer to address the issue backstage even when I am angry; I can let the people clap and sing a cappella,” he told Andy, while suggesting that communication is essential in managing performance challenges.
He also emphasised the need for artistes to maintain composure and adaptability in the face of mistakes.
A heated moment was caught on camera on December 15, 2024, as Fameye confronted a DJ for not playing his songs in the order he requested. Instead, the DJ played different versions, leaving Fameye frustrated.
