Ghanaian social media fashion critic, Charlie Dior has revealed that he is a nine-to-five employee.
In an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show, he told Roselyn Felli that he works with a corporate firm based in the United States to financially complement his social media influencing business.
“I have a 9 to 5. You know, media can be very rough, and it doesn’t really pay the bills. So, I have a 9 to 5; I work with corporate America; I work for a communication firm.”
Having studied communications at the university, the influencer decided to apply his course of study to improve both his skills and potential.
Regarding his appearance, Charlie mentioned that he is fashionable but limits dramatic outfits, taking the environment into consideration.
He continued that he works the 9-to-5 job during the weekdays and focuses on fashion criticism on weekends for relaxation and fun.
“I’m very fashionable at work, but it’s not drama. I don’t give drama at work because you can be very distracted. So a nice button-up shirt with slacks and nice shoes; things like that. Then I become a fashion critic on the weekend. I record my show in a little one corner.”
The fashion critic urged potential content creators not to wait until they are well-established before creating content on social media. Instead, they can start wherever they are to earn something valuable if the concept is relevant and captures attention.
His fame emerged while watching one of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) editions. His observations of people’s red carpet outfits prompted him to record a video to share his opinions, which went viral and sparked conversations on social media, bringing him attention.
