Forward Dauda Saaka scored his first Ghana Premier League goal for Asante Kotoko in their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Dreams FC at the Tuba Astroturf.
The 24-year-old pounced on a rebound to double Kotoko's lead just three minutes after Baba Yahaya had broken the deadlock with a fine finish in the 40 minute.
Joseph Esso scored just before the hour mark to hand hosts Dreams a lifeline and set up a nervy finale.
but the visitors held on firmly to secure all three points on the road.
It is Kotoko's third straight victory as they sit 5th with 24 points, three behind leaders Heart of Lions.
Meanwhile, Dreams are now winless in their last three matches which sees them stay in 17th with 12 points.
Up next for Kotoko is a home match against Bibiani Gold Stars while Dreams make a trip for Berekum Chelsea clash.
