Young Apostles halted their winless run in the Ghana Premier League with victory over Karela United on Sunday, January 5.
The Wenchi-based side claimed a 2-0 win over Karela to bring an end to a run of four games without a win.
Samuel Prempreh opened the scoring for Young Apostles after 35 minutes played in the game. They held on to the breakthrough and went into the break ahead.
Young Apostles continued to chase their second of the game after the return from recess.
The home side threatened on numerous occasions minutes into the second period of the game and found the net through Emmanuel Fosu Kyei who doubled the lead.
Young Apostles should have scored more in the latter stages but the Karela defence did enough to keep the score at 2-0.
The win lifts Young Apostles to 13th in the league table after accumulating 17 points while Karela drop to 15th.
