Speaking on Joy FM's *Super Morning Show* on Monday, 20 January, Mr Asare disclosed that the hearing of the case had been adjourned to 12 February 2025 due to technical reasons.
He confirmed that six suspects had been identified and are set to face legal proceedings.
“At this point, we are dealing with six, so far six,” he revealed, adding that approximately ten individuals had attacked him during the incident. Among these, two suspects have been specifically identified as participants in the assault.
Mr Asare also highlighted the theft of several personal items during the attack. “I have been requesting information about the missing items, but they are telling us that they don’t have any updates.
As we speak, the five drone batteries, the JBL headset, my Joy-branded jacket containing my ID card, visa cards, and other belongings are still with them, and we have no information on their whereabouts,” he explained.
The journalist noted the psychological toll of the ordeal, acknowledging that it had instilled some fear within his team. Nevertheless, he asserted their determination to continue their work.
“It has not dampened our spirit to the point of giving up, no! It’s our job, and we believe we must press on and fight to the end to ensure that our polluted waters and pillaged forests are restored,” he said resolutely.
