Ghanaian musician Kwabena Kwabena, born George Kwabena Adu, considers men who are not responsible to their spouses as not being real men.
According to him, in an interview on Joy Prime’s Changes show with Roselyn Felli, it is a basic requirement for every man to be knowledgeable about.
“The process by which a woman was created shows that a woman must be comfortable, and every man knows that. Men who don’t know about that are the ones disgracing us. Every man should know that he must be responsible for his woman. If you don’t know this basic thing, then you’re not a man.”
Although it's deemed a man's world, the singer believes it would be nothing without women, and they should be treated properly.
He placed emphasis on the fact that nobody endorses men who are irresponsible, entreating them to desist from the act.
Nonetheless, he pleaded with women to take things easy on men because they are suffering silently.
For him, what makes a man is conquering life’s battles.
“I want to be a man always. So I see battles as they must come for me to fight them, and as a man I need to fight my battles, and that’s what makes me a man.”
