Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr Dominic Ayine, is scheduled to convene with the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee next week to review their progress and evaluate data collected on misappropriated public assets.
The ORAL Committee, tasked with investigating alleged corruption and verifying claims of embezzled state resources, is currently processing more than 700 petitions submitted by the public.
Dr Ayine has confirmed the planned meeting, explaining that it will focus on analysing the committee’s findings and determining the next phase of the recovery initiative.
"The ORAL Committee and I will meet early next week, most likely on Monday, and I will be briefed on the information gathered so far. I intend to take over their findings for further action," he stated.
The meeting is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the government's anti-corruption drive, ensuring greater accountability and transparency in the effort to recover public assets.
Dr Ayine emphasised the importance of this collaboration, expressing his commitment to using the committee’s insights to propel meaningful progress in the fight against graft.
