The NDC in Shai-Osudoku has congratulated Prof. Michael Kpessa-Whyte on his appointment as the Acting Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) by President John Mahama.
In a press release signed by the Constituency Secretary, Jones N. Ayertey, it hailed Prof. Kpessa-Whyte's appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding leadership capabilities, academic achievements, and unwavering dedication to public service.
"As a distinguished political scientist and researcher, he brings an impressive wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role at SIGA," it said.
The NDC in Shai-Osudoku believes that under Prof. Kpessa-Whyte's stewardship, "SIGA will continue to advance its mission of fostering good governance, transparency, and accountability in the management of Ghana's state assets.
"His leadership is expected to be instrumental in ensuring that state-owned enterprises operate with efficiency and effectiveness for the collective benefit of all Ghanaians."
According to the statement, "Prof. Kpessa-Whyte's appointment marks a significant milestone in SIGA's journey towards optimising the performance of state-owned enterprises and promoting national development."
"The party expressed optimism that his strategic vision and dedication will drive positive changes, fostering growth and prosperity across the nation.
The Shai-Osudoku NDC also took the opportunity to express their gratitude to President John Mahama for his commitment to appointing individuals of high integrity and competence to key governance positions.
They commended the former President for entrusting this critical responsibility to Prof. Kpessa-Whyte, stating that "his leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the nation's progress".
In concluding their congratulatory message, the Shai-Osudoku NDC extended its best wishes to Prof. Kpessa-Whyte, expressing confidence that his tenure at SIGA will be marked by excellence and transformative leadership.
They reiterated their belief that his profound understanding of governance and public service will enhance the effectiveness of the Authority.
